Repattern: Silhouette Series
I'm pasted these silhouettes throughout Pendleton House in response to the ways in which Black female artists are overlooked and confined to specific museum spaces. This installation is a combination of Black female artists that are a part of the RISD Museum collection, both on and off view, as well as my patterns that I've found within my own works. This work is posed not only to highlight the Black female artists within the collection but lack there off and to start a conversation about who's missing from museum collections.
